Inspire ME:
Determined to become the most inspirational disabled person ever, Madeleine Stewart embarks on a journey to become a Paralympian.

Inspire ME is a short documentary film examining the concept of “inspiration porn.” The film was produced through the ScreenNSW Screenability Filmmaker Fund, which supports filmmakers with disabilities in the screen industry, and made its debut at the Sydney Film Festival in 2022.

Inspire ME went on to win multiple awards and feature in film festivals globally.
Broadcast on ABC, SBS and weirdly Delta Airlines

Madeleine was selected in 2024 by the ABC to receive their International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) Storyteller Scholarship, which saw her create several key pieces of content for the ABC including her viral Instagram reel on marriage equality, which garnered over 4.4 million views and became one of the ABC’s highest performing social media content 2 years running.

Madeleine continues work with the ABC as a television presenter for Compass, with her debut episode ‘Intimate Access’ released May 2026.
This marks a significant milestone, as its the first time a content creator from the IDPWD program has been selected to present an episode of Nationally Broadcast television show.

Madeleine has been performing live comedy from the age of sixteen, and has been charming audiences with her signature sweet demeanour and razor-sharp wit ever since. Maddie has performed at Sydney Comedy Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Fringe, Adelaide Fringe and Brisbane Comedy Festival.

In 2019, Madeleine created Australia’s first accessibility-focused comedy night, Crips & Creeps, which evolved in 2023 into a spin-off national tour titled Are You Pulling My Leg? and brought a fully-disabled lineup and accessible comedy night to regional towns all over the country.
